My '03 Boxster S has just developed a slight oil leak. Looking at the location I'm fearing for the worst. Can anyone give me an idea what a reasonable price is for replacing the RMS and or IMS bearing? If this is the case and the work has to be done I figure it's worth going all the way. The car has had absolutely not issues it's 22k miles of life. From what I've read the replalcement bearing from LN Engineering seems like the way to go. ANy other help would be greatly appreciated.

I was charged $680 labor to replace my clutch by an independant shop. They did my RMS while the engine was out. My guess is a dealer will come in around $1000 to $1500.
You might try calling 800-PORSCHE and see if Porsche will cover part of it. The RMS issues are a known problem for the 986
