I just swapped tires for a DE this weekend and noticed my street tires were worn out on the inside of both front tires. I put my car in the shop and my mechanic said the wear was due to -2.5 negative camber, I thought negative camber would have slight wear on the inside. Would this more likely be a toe in problem?

It's the combination of the two. You will get some inside wear from more negative camber alone during highway driving but it is exacerbated by toe (in or out) because of the constant scrub. What are your toe settings?

I'm not sure, I'll have them check it.

Since the majority of the wear is concentrated at the inner edge (not tapered across the tire), my guess is that it's toed out, and by quite a bit. -2.5 camber didn't help, but I'd look closely at the toe (and confirm the camber while at it).
