My 2011 Cayman, like all 987s, uses a low gloss, soft touch paint on the console and rear trim plastics. It can be scratch prone, especially the cross car trim piece when removing the horizontal engine cover.
Has anyone found a good repair method that mostly duplicates the factory finish? My interior is black, by the way.

Many of us have used the "Home Depot" method. Take a piece of your interior with the soft touch paint down to your local HD or Lowes. They will scan it and get a great color match. A matte latex paint is an excellent match to the factory soft touch. Apply by brush.

You'l only want to do this for smaller scratches and nicks. With a black interior the touch-ups will be almost invisible.
