Hi people,

Greetings from Singapore. I'm quite new to this forum and Porsche ownership. Bought my first Porsche, a 987.2 CS last year and so far it has already undergone major modifications.

Recently completed:
- Replica TechArt GT Kit with Porsche Boxster DRL
- Full respray in Vermelho flash red (previously Guards Red)
- Custom modification of OEM rear bumper - Cut 2 holes at the side GT3 style
- Blacked out internals of the headlight like the newer models
- Porsche windshield sticker
- SpacersRear +15mm Front +7mm
- H&R lowering springs -30mm

Below are some pics of my car when it was in the workshop

On the day of collection :)

Hey there from across the causeway!

Thats a nice looking paint job with some nice details like the lights.
The car looks lowered. What suspension are you running?

Hey bro, thanks!

I'm still on stock suspension, just using H&R lowering springs -30mm :)

I'm intending to do other mods but its low priority at this point of time. The Porsche community in sg is very active. We do have the PCS (porsche club Singapore) here and they organise drives like breakfast drives and trackdays to Sepang.

Future plans:
New set of wheels (More aggressive offset and deep concave style)
2 tone red + black interior
alcantara steering with paddle shift
Liberty walk blue or BAPE camouflage wrap

thats a really nice colour you've chosen for the paint - not sure why you'd want to wrap it?

if you're headed up to KayEL let me know!

unusually quiet here.... usually the guys here are quite welcoming - perhaps they thought this is a regional thread.
come on guys!

Thanks bro. Perhaps I would like a more different look on the car in the future :)

I've never driven up to Msia in my car, will give you a heads up if I were to. Likewise, if you were to come down to SG let me know!

Yea I agree the Cayman section is a little quiet.. also the asian owners hardly participate in these sort of forums.

Hi people,

It has been a very long time since the last update.
My car went through a few mishaps - 1. Smashed a small hole through my front bumper due to highway debris 2. Newly bought carbon fibre 981 wing flew off at 200+kph due to improper installation.
Right now, the car is undergoing another round of transformation (I could say version 4 now) to install the new GT4 bumper and RS carbon fibre wing.

Exterior
TechArt front bumper - Changed to GT4 bumper with custom carbon fibre light assembly (under installation)
TechArt sideskirts with custom carbon fibre extensions
Replaced my Techart wing with 981 carbon fibre TechArt style wing from TWL carbon which flew out on the highway. New carbon fibre RS wing with ducktail lip by Getty design under installation
Vorsteiner GT4 design inspired custom carbon fibre rear diffuser. Got my workshop to do it as Vorsteiner doesn't make it for the 987
LED side markers
981 style rear light - My ladder fell on the car (my negligence) which smashed the right side of my light. Have gotten a new pair since.

Wheels and brakes

Vorsteiner VFF-101 19 inch
Brembo 18z 6 pot 380mm BBK (Front) not shown in pic
Brembo 18z 4 pot 380mm BBK (Rear) not shown in pic

Performance

Fabspeed 200 cell sports headers
Armytrix catback exhaust with titanium tips
BMC Air filter
IPD Plenum + 83mm Throttle body
Cobb Accessport v3 - Car is custom dyno tuned from 320hp to 355hp

Interior

Re-upholstered seats and door panels in alcantara and Nappa leather
Custom carbon fibre gear panel + centre console + chronometer cover
Dashtrim + gauges surround + door trim painted in red

That's the 1st 981 TA style wing I've seen on the 987. Was that installed using the 981 base as well? Any more pictures?

like your commitment to making the car yours

I'm thinking about having the seats in my 981 recovered and have a couple of questions:
where'd you source for nappa leather and alcantara?
do you have heated seats and if so any trouble with accommodating the heating system during the reupholster?
