OK, bought a Porsche Certified Boxster S (2007) three weeks ago. Today the key fob started to fall apart (separating along the seam). So, I go to get the extra key and fob I was given and it has been taped together for the same reason. So, is this a waranty item??? I mean even 15 year ols Miata key is still in one piece!

It sounds like these have been handled pretty harshly. Different people treat things differently, obviously, but I've had my keys since March of '06 and they're like brand new. You might taken them into the dealer and see what can be done - since you bought it as CPO, they might be willing to do something. I'm not sure if it's actually covered under the warranty.

They look new...not beaten up or anything, just falling apart. Looks like where one would take them apart to replace a battery. Not too impressive for a $70k car!

One of my key's Porsche emblem fell off after a year. I took it to the dealer and they replaced it for me.
