I thought I will share some photos of the oil reset using the Launch CReader 7S for forum members reference in the future:
The instruction is easy but have some screens not shown in the operation manual booklet:

The Current Month and Date have the same data input procedures as the Current Year you see in the photo.
In the 4th photo, there are selections for Intermediate and Main Maintenance that I have not explored as I am only doing the Oil Service Reset for now since car was new in July 2016 and only 7,500 Km to date due to winter storage. It looks like it can also do more reset functions other than OIL, BRAKE, & BATTERY. The CReader 7S can also read OBD2 codes.

I turned off ignition and removed the CReader 7S from OBD port.
I started the car and no more Oil Change Reminder.

Very cool Ed, so when you ordered it did it ship to your home address in Canada and I see that FedEx and DHL are available for free shipping who did you go with?

Thanks!

Al,
It was shipped free to our Oregon address via FedEx and brought it with me on my way back home.
You can also ship it to TSB Shipping Plus in Point Roberts, WA for $4 USD handling fee if international shipping customs tariff is too much. I have used TSB Shipping Plus many times from small parts, tires, wheels, headers, and even cat-back exhaust for my Mini.

All,

After having trouble finding the "Creader 7s" product page in order to download the Creader 7s update tool, I found that the "Cresetter II..." web page actually has four rotating pages, the fourth of which is actually the Creader 7s page. You can click on the fourth circle at the bottom of the "Cresetter II" page to get to this page.* See below screenshot for what you are looking for and the URL/website I used.

Note1: It looks like you DO NOT have to login or register the 7s to download the update tool.
Note2: The update tool file you want is "CReader_7S_Update.zip", it's about 35 MB.

After downloading the tool and updating to software version 2.27, I was able to reset all three of my maintenance reminders on my 2014 Cayman S.* I used the "All service" from the "Service Reset" page.

Yes you got it right, it is on the 4th tab. It is a good idea to upgrade the software. It looks like it can reset other service reminders too. I never expected that as I was only after: code read, reset oil, battery, & brake when I was deciding on the purchase. I am happy I did and a bargain for $65 shipped. The only downside is once you have selected the 4 car makes, you can no longer change it.

Ahhh, that is what I figured, I have friends in Oregon as well, if I get one then I will have it sent there. For some stuff I have a freight forwarder in Blaine, they have service over to the island (in bond), then I clear the items through customs myself.

Not familiar with the "7S", But the Launch Cresetter II works well for resetting both oil and mileage reminders.
Just as a data point, the Cresetter II doesn't work for service resets on 987.1 Cayman/Boxster. They confirmed that you have to be 987.2 or higher.

Mine does work on my Volvo and Toyota, however.

It is weird that I have been driving my Cayman for 7000 miles, and three oil changes, and have never seen a service reminder?

Thank you so much , it's been 2 weeks than I tried to update an other car on my Creader 7S . I saw that page previously somehow but I didn't scroll it enough.
Thank's again, I register on the planet9 for that but I'm sure, I'll enjoy the site for the future...

Because of this thread I bought one for around $40 (eBay!) and used it last night on my Cayman. After 3 tries to get the oil service to reset while using the Cayman setting I almost gave up but decided on a lark to try it as a Boxster. Worked like a charm.

This is especially funny because the computer has been "told" it is a GT4 by the dealer so that the rear spoiler won't activate (I have a ducktail) and now it also thinks it's a Boxster. Apparently I have a schizophrenic Porsche.

@inkatouring Had the same issue. Would not reset as a Cayman. So tried as a Boxster. It worked. Thanks for the tip!
