Hey all I am looking for what the title says. Most important function is protection, then looks/performance. Seems like we have a lack of options for the 987.2 Cayman, and it seems like some may or may not fit from the 987.1.

My front runner is the GT3 style from Composite Concepts available from a site sponsor and on eBay. It looks nice, is made of urethane, but is expensive for what it is IMHO.

There are some way out of options from TechArt, and I would not call them expendable or consumable.

Then there are all the cats and dogs on eBay, many of which look to be from the same Chinese company but from different sellers at different price points and at times in different materials.

This one comes to mind: https://www.ebay.com/itm/FOR-PORSCHE-BOXSTER-987-09-12-FRONT-BUMPER-LIP-BODY-KIT-POLYURETHANE-PU-3PCS/112113736317?_mwBanner=1&ul_ref=https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/e11051.m43.l1123/7?euid=6434cee883b64b78b863bddf4a76c64d&bu=43168966918&loc=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F112113736317&sojTags=bu=bu&srcrot=e11051.m43.l1123&rvr_id=0&rvr_ts=6ee6aa4816d0a4d0bb92e745ffee51a3&ul_noapp=true&pageci=1490f278-61d0-4833-9854-56b8da21fb32&epid=1966470702

It then there are a plethora of FRP and even carbon options. What have you guys gone with? Also this thread is worthless without pics! 馃榿

Joe with @joetothcomposites makes an amazing looking splitter for second gen cars. If you have an instagram account or a facebook worth a check. I ordered mine last night will keep you updated with how it turns out. Cheers..

I have a Joe toth (there are two styles, old and new, I have the newer one). I honestly didn't like it when I first purchased it. The new 987.1 splitter is still my favorite and wish that would fit the 987.2, but it has certainly grown on me. The good thing is, that it's reasonably priced and is a 3 piece lip so when it breaks you can easily get replacement pieces. I was told that each lip is checked for proper fitment however, mine actually took some adjustment/dremeling to fit properly.

If I remember, I will post up some pics.

I would appreciate seeing the pics. Sounds interesting. Did you have to paint it? Thanks!
