Thanks!

Sweet wheels. I was thinking to go black myself, but maybe will enjoy my stock rims for a while. First priority is to get the radio situation handled :)

Hi All

New to Planet-9, and new to Porsche. Just introducing myself, and the 2007 Atlas Grey Metallic Cayman S I picked up last weekend. What a blast :)

Cool. I just an 06. Same stock rims. I like the ride better on the 18s over the Chicago potholes better. As for the radio. Yup it stinks but the stock look is sort of cool. I was going to upgrade but might stick with the Jabra Freeway for a while.

Back to the rims however. I think I might get them refinished in a dark color with a red stripe around.

Awesome car. Atlas Gray is an awesome color. Congrats!

Enjoy your new Cayman. Drive it as much as reasonably possible and when not driving it you can look it it and tell yourself how smart you are for buying it. Great car!

Congrats! I actually prefer these wheels, I think they look great and are easy to clean. I dont care for the head unit for the stereo, I have Bose+ which is not bad at all, but I'm looking to upgrade the head unit to something that will incorporate a back-up camera and other useful options. Personally I like the sound of the motor, and the stereo is the background music. Enjoy!

Sound advice. Thanks for the encouragement! Only has 18,000 miles but not shy to add more.

Good to know about wheels.

Pioneer AVH 4000NEX with backup cam will be installed on Tuesday. Wanted to put an iPad mini in, but there are just too many cons. Also considered Dension Gateway to keep the stock look, but then I would have wanted to mount my phone somewhere and none of the options look attractive to me. So, ultimately decided on the Pioneer for my background music.

+1 on the wheels. I have always preferred the big open spaces to see the brake calipers, and 5 spokes are indeed much easier to keep clean. I love mine.

I have had my car (same as yours but guards red) for almost a year and STILL haven't decided what to do with the sound system. Lately I've been leaning towards the Dension but I'm interested to hear about your experience with the Pioneer installation. Are you using the Eurospeed bezel?

A Pioneer with the AppRadio /Apple CarPlay features are what I am considering for a head unit. I can have apps like AppRadioLive, Waze, EscortLive, TuneInRadio, DashCommand, and more synced up to my iPhone, using Siri, AND also have back-up camera! I think this is an excellent choice. Let us know how you like it!

There is an integration unit and bezel you can find for a double DIN unit; you'll need that to integrate with the existing system, unless you replace it from head unit through amp and speakers. Lots of posts here on that topic! Enjoy!

I got the 4000NEX installed on Tuesday.

My initial impressions are not good to be honest. It's a great head unit, however head-units frankly haven't kept up with technology these days. My phone has (a) better responsiveness (b) more capabilities (c) a better screen and (d) is free (since I already own it and will own it no matter what). I'm going to give the 4000NEX another week, perhaps it will grow on me. If not I'm considering switching over to iPhone 6 Plus (the iPad mini seems like too tight of a fit). Here is more info:
