I'm looking at purchasing a '07 Boxster with about 70k km on it. She looks in good condition but the dealership inspection report noted that there was a "slight oil leak at bell housing". I've read in a couple places that this is often the RMS and that it can wait to be repaired until the clutch to replacing. If this is the case, is at a relatively non-issue (i.e. not a deal breaker)?

This car has a great price so I'd love to complete on it. I would take her for a full pre-purchase inspection at a Porsche specialist before completing the purchase. But should this oil leak cause me to move on right away?

It is most likely either the RMS or the intermediate shaft seal. If it's just "weeping" it can probably wait a while, but if it's more than that it could contaminate the clutch.

I would probably insist that it be repaired before purchase.
