I have had many European cars and all have had mirrors that folded in manually toward the body. I don't have the electric folding mirrors on my 2015 Boxster S, and it seems that these mirrors are not able to fold in. Am I missing something?

I thought the regular ones could be pushed in manually.

I have pushed the mirrors in slightly on my Cayman while waxing it, but I don't know if they fold in more or less than the power folding ones.

I did a quick search of the online manual. The 987 Cayman/Boxster have manual folding mirrors.
The 981 online manual had no discussion of the mirrors folding manually.

I do know that the 981 electric actual rotate upward when they fold.

It did say in the manual that the electric ones can be folded manually if there is an electrical fault. (see pg 44)

Hi amf,
I checked my non-power folding mirrors on my Cayman. They fold up better than I remembered. See attached pictures.
