My 987.2 S is currently giving me a bit of a headache. PIWIS returns the fault code P0018. After resetting the fault memory, it takes a few trips and the error is back again. However, I don't feel anything at all; neither an irregular engine run, loss of performance nor suspicious noises.

I have attached the first page of the error report. How would you proceed? Is there a check procedure to further isolate/narrow down the root cause? Just taking it to Porsche for troubleshooting and repair is not something I want to do.

I have AllDataDIY, a lift, tools and time. From what I've read in this forum the solenoid valve seems to be the most common cause of the issue and the cheapest to repair of all. Which part# would I need to buy?

What is your opinion?

Considering the fault code ,If the relative position is out of alignment by more than 1 tooth, the fault code will occur .I think the camshaft timing error would be possible, but first you need to exclude solenoid valve.then checking timing chain/chains orbit
