PDK slow to engage when cold ?

2012 991 w/ PDK seems slow to engage off idle when cold in both forward and reverse ? RPM’s need to be up more then normal to start moving. Car has 44K on it and the transmission has been serviced with factory fluid and filter, seems to drive fine after about 20 minutes or so once it warms up. My first PDK and not sure if this is normal ? Any one else experience this ?? Thoughts please ??
Thanks in advance

Normal. Things need to warm up just like the engine. The PDK is not a regular automatic tranny like most are used to. There is no spinning torque converter that makes the car launch off the line at the slightest amount of throttle like a regular auto does.

It's essentially a manual transmission, but with a computer making the shifts for you. There will some slight "slip" off the line just as there would be if you were moving off with a regular clutch release in a manual. This will be there all the time to some extent even when warm, and you may notice a delay if you accelerate suddenly from a dead stop for any reason. It's worse when things are cold, and it can feel a little clunky until things are fully up to temp

Thanks for the info… I’m used to the DSG tranny’s VW uses, wasn’t sure what to really expect from this car.
Appreciate your time !
