What does the dealer have to do with it? It's the factory that f'd-up.

The question is, is it only the button or the whole system?

Exactly. Reason number 97 why not to trust these magazines.

I went over to Rennlist and leafed through the 16 pages of the thread. Bottom line is the factory did screw up and it appears it is a simple fix by installing the correct console with the correct buttons and doing a little coding. The wiring harness is the same as you might imagine. BTW, another GT3 owner chimed into the thread that his was missing the button also. So somebody was asleep at the switch at Porsche (pun intended).

That's something that shouldn't be taken lightly by Porsche...

So the console installer made a mistake. Those before him/her who did the wiring made a mistake. And every single one who got in and out of the car, test drove it, shipped it... etc. made a mistake. If they're blind, nobody does quality checks? What about tray part counts? They produced X number of GT3s but have extra buttons/systems left on the tray/shelf

Somebody should be fired!
