I'm not sure if anyone if familiar with the MIB (More Incredible Bash) that provides the ability to flash the PCM 4.x with new firmware, as well as enabling features such as Android Auto that is already in the firmware. As technical as this forum is, I'm really surprised that the first I learned of this was last week, on a different forum none-the-less.
Anyway... I'm looking to update the firmware in the PCM in my 2017 Cayenne so I can get Android Auto functionality among other things. In this Porsche ******** post PCM4 - MIB2 - MHI2_ER_POG11 & POG24 - FW update & patch - navigation activation - ******** - Porsche Discussion Forums, there is a general warning that there may be some Bose compatibility issues with flashing new firmware with the Bose system, but doesn't provide any specifics. They recommend bypassing the Bose link or disabling the Bose-related updates.
Can anyone confirm whether there is a potential coding issue with Bose?
Other forums (like this (Android Auto: I have an OEM-like solution working!) haven't indicated any issues, and I've seen a couple people online selling the service to provide an update SD card, which is likely making use of the same information that was developed via MIB and is freely available as open-source.
In case anyone wants additional information, see here...

BTW - I posted a similar question on the GitHub repository board that is linked above.
