Updated my PCM 4.x in my 2017 Cayenne this weekend. Everything went as planned, with only a couple minor hiccups.

Detailed instructions are here: GitHub - harman-f/MHI2_US_POG11_K5186_1-MU1476-AIO: Porsche MHI2 US POG11 custom AIO FW update

I used the update from here: MIB Solution :: Login MHI2_US_POG11_K5186_1_MU1476_AIO_20220723.7z.
I used the maps from here: MIB Solution :: Login P87_N60S5MIBH3_NAR_NT_Q3.21_2022-23.7z
Login is guest guest as indicated on the welcome popup.

Use 7zip to unzip the files to a local folder, then copy them to the SD card.
I used a 32GB Sandisk Ultra SDHC from here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08KSY222G
I had a 10-amp charger connected to the battery during the process and made sure my lights were off (I usually leave them in auto).

Follow the instructions and you should be fine.

Hiccup 1: During the process the car goes to sleep. The PCM stays on while the updates are in progress, but after the last update was complete, the PCM went to sleep and wouldn't do the last reboot. After waiting for several minutes, I cycled the key to wake up the PCM again. Everything booted fine after that.

Hiccup 2: When trying to do the SVM fix, if you don't wait long enough after power-on (20 seconds), you'll get a loading settings screen that just hangs. If you do the tuner-car button sequence again, the GEM loads as expected. You have to use the right knob to continue scrolling down to the menu. Clicking the button on the next screen selection does nothing.

AA doesn't show up unless you have an Android phone connected via the USB cable in the console. With a phone connected, the PCM will prompt you to enter AA, and everything works fine from there. It will then also show the AA button in the menu. I've seen some wireless AA options, but I'll play with it a while before I decide whether or not to invest in one.

For the maps update, I used the same SD card. I renamed metainfo2.txt to metainfo_fwupdate.txt, then copied all the map update files to the SD card. Use the normal update menu through the PCM. It takes a while to find the map update, so just do something else for a while and come back, then it'll be ready to go.
Hi, I tried the link you posted for maps update but its blank nothing in there. Do you happen to know where to go to get the latest maps update for porsche?

Thanks for the help!!

After a long download of the necessary files, I just completed the update on my 2017 Macan Base with PCM 4.0.
The whole process took about 25 minutes. It added Nav functionality, and the Android Auto I wanted.
The only "hic-up" I had was that pressing the CAR-Tuner button to start the GEM Fix function did not work. But everything on the PCM works splendid ! One very happy camper here
Same issue here, I can not get GEM to start up - did you ever fix it or run into any issues not continuing with the steps?

97 bytes? Seems low for maps update.
The circled one is 11.7GB, sounds entirely reasonable for a map update.

A word of caution here - we do not encourage intellectual property theft. Think about that a bit when you ask for something like maps. Asking for info on a site that might have maps isn't going to get you in trouble - asking for someone to directly share them with you is.

And - have you introduced yourself? Or your car? It's a tradition here that is done before asking people for favors.. we like to have some idea who is asking.. so far all 3 posts seem to be asking for something, no intro.

I'd suggest visiting https://www.planet-9.com/forums/new_members/ - read some of the posted intro messages then make one yourself. It's the friendly thing to do.

The map update did not worked initially because I renamed the file name from metainfo2.txt to metainfo_fwupdate.txt
in next trial I just kept the file name as is metainfo2.txt and followed the usual steps to update the maps with software update in PCM

maps used: P376_N60S5MIBH3_NAR_NT_Q3.23_2024-2025_02310036~20240221-235959.zip

thanks again @ledbette
Hi, what size SD card did you use to update? Mine is not reading the file.

Hi, I wondered if someone might be able to help me? I have recently purchased a 2019 Porsche Cayman S and would like to update the maps to the latest version as they're quite old.

I have checked and the firmware is the latest version, so doesn't look like I need to upgrade that, just the maps. However, I have a couple of questions ..

1. Can I upgrade the maps from mibsolution.one without applying the firmware?
2. Please could someone point me in the direction of the latest EU maps (I need them for the UK). I understand that the ones i'm after are in the MHIG-MHI2(Q) folder, but after downloading the maps, they all look to be US? Am I looking in the wrong place?
3. Is there instructions on how to update the maps that someone can point me to? I've looked on various forums and the majority of the focus appears to be on the firmware update rather than the maps. Is it as simple of copying to a FAT32 SD Card and putting the unit in update mode, or I suspect that there may be more to it than that?

Appreciate that i've only just registered on the forum and am asking for advice, but was hoping that someone might be able to point me in the right direction? Many thanks.

That same screeshot I showed above has the EU maps on the first line.

Hello,
I intalled latest official firmware update: MHI2_ER_POG24_K5137 .... everything gone OK . (now i can see green menu )
I unzipped the file with the latest EU 2025 map. I uploaded all the files to a FAT32 formatted SD card. I put it in the slot in the car (Panamera 4S 971 2017) and start the update. The PCM starts looking for it and the wheel spins on the screen and nothing happens ..... where am I doing wrong?

Apologies, i'm clearly being a bit thick, but i'm struggling to find the screenshot you reference? I have seen the link to the other forum with instructions, but struggling to see the exact file to download. Any chance you could reply with the filename in here to the latest EU maps?

Also, do you know if I can put MIB and the latest maps on the same SDCard at the same time, or do i need to do MIB first, then format the SDcard and do the maps update separately?

Thanks

I put them all on one card. Must be a FAT32 formatted card.

That's really helpful, thank you.

So just so i'm clear ..

0. Ensure battery charger is connected to battery
1. Format 32GB SDCardFat32
2. Copy MIB to SD (as well as above unzipped Maps folder)
3. Insert SDCard in car, install MIB
4. Backup and patch to latest firmware
5. Move the Maps metainfo2.txt to the route of the SDCard, replacing the MIB one
6. Go into Maps on the PCM and select upgrade from SDCard

Does that sound about right?

Thanks.

Sounds about right. However, I'd do it with the car running rather than with a charger and the car off. I had issues with the PCM going to sleep while trying to update it which can cause issues.

did you upgrade with AIO version (3GB) or the other version (5GB), here's the versions:

AIO: MHI2_ER_POG24_K5137_1_AIO_MU1417_20230320.7z
FULL: MHI2_ER_POG24_K5137_MU1417_971919360T.7z

I have Panamera 2018, with following version :

I am looking to use the AIO now to upgrade mine. Unsure about the MAPS, as I use Waze and Google.

Hopefully the AIO will be enough to update my system

What MAP version have you downloaded? I have downloaded the following version but unsure to update it:

P390_N60S5MIBH3_EU.7z

I did it with AIO version

yes, I downloaded P390_..... but PCM do not "see" any nav files on SD card
Ok, assume you unzipped the files as is to root of SD card?

I will try this afternoon, after 4 or 5pm UK time.

I will first try the AIO install, then once that's done, will try the maps update, will let you know how it goes, it is quite a large update at 14GB

hey one thing, it talks about Car+tuner buttons to enter the green service menu, my car does not have the tuner button as far as I can see, but source or media, also my buttons are the haptic ones, and cannot seem to use these to enter the green menu.

Do you have the physical buttons in yours? See image below, of mine, with the Red button Car enabled
