hey guys,

bassically i need to replace my front discs and pads pretty soon, and have been quoted 660 pounds for the 2.7ltr brakes.

now how much do you reckon i can get them for elsewhere in the uk? and also would it cost much more to upgrade them to the S, or is there no difference other then the calipers?

cheers

I have a 2.7 here in california....
Firstly, the 2.7 rotors and calipers are different from the Cayman S's... you should stick to the 2.7 configuration .. i may get flamed for this, but I think the 2.7 brakes are just as capable as the bigger CS brakes -- or to the point that us mortals wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

Now for the new parts.. I just replaced (all) rotors -- but did the job myself. Nothing to it -- plenty of instructions on this board. You CAN do it ! By doing the work yourself, I'm sure it will cost less than your shop quoted - even in the UK !

Regards.. D
