Sometimes, starting within the last 3 weeks or so and not in the 38,000 km before that, when I shift into reverse to back out of my driveway the car acts like it is still in park or neutral. Almost like the shifter is not making contact with some switch that tells the transmission to engage reverse. If I simply shift back into park and then back to reverse all is good. There are no problems with the transmission, jut getting it into reverse. The shifter itself does not bind or do anything odd. It is NOT simply cold oil taking a couple of seconds to engage the gear, it does not know that it is in reverse. No codes at all and dealer is at a loss.
I seem to always, because of my amount of driving and the high km that my cars eventually have, always have problems that my dealer has never seen before.
Ideas?
