I just recently replaced my 7 year old battery in my 2007 Cayman S which had gone completely dead; shorted. When I got the new one installed, I started the car which runs fine but I noticed on the dash the explanation mark and found the notification that "PSM Failure"

Anybody have any suggestions about how to handle this problem? I'm hoping that there may be a blown fuse or maybe a restart procedure required when the battery is replaced.

Drive it. Every time I unhook the battery, I get the PSM light. Drive it and it will go out in less than a mile.

I've seen both PSM and PASM failure after having the battery disconnected. They go away after driving a few hundred feet. Probably sensor recalibration...
