I come to you specialist’s on these sweet a$$ SUV’s and essentially what I am wondering is how reliable are the 08 Turbo’s? I know the common things to look for like the carrier bearing and the coolant T’s that wouldn’t be a problem. But I’m 17 and on the fence I’ve been looking at 04 Ford Lightning’s but I just want something just a tad faster. I’ve driven a turbo s from my mothers side of the family, it only took one pull to realize that this is what I really want. How is reliability? How often do you find yourself replacing parts? What’s your anual maintenance estimate?? Thanks guys.

At 17 years old the first thing you'd want to do is call your insurance agent. And the second thing you'd want to do is be sure you have good disability insurance.

Then set aside about $1000 per year for maintenance and repairs.
