I have a boxster S 2005

today I was using my rear trunk normally, when suddenly in the afternoon, I tried to open the rear trunk via Key and interior switch but both doesn't work, I can hear the mechanism working, I checked the fuse but nothing wrong with it, but the moment I put it back in, it opened just once, i was able to get my stuff out, close the lid, and tried to operate again, but remained close, and i can still hear the motor working, tried to remove and put back the fuse again and again but never worked again

Anyone has any experience where they cant open rear trunk? My battery, fuse, controls are working fine.

please advice where to start..

I would also spray some lithium grease into the locking mechanism for long term lubrication. The WD-40 is not a long term solution.
