The modifications look nice and the welds look great!

I would like to make it publicly known that the before photos that you took are not of a TPC Racing built exhaust system. It looks like some of our exhaust piping that was cut and modified. I have circled the areas in your photos that show parts of the exhaust that are not from TPC Racing. I am not sure why the system was modified, but wanted to make it known that the way you show the before photos are not of how we build our exhaust systems. We have yet to see an exhaust system give up as you noted and that goes for cars that see over 100k miles with combined track and street use with our turbo system.

The circled areas in the photo above show where the system was modified. In order to make these modifications, the exhaust had to be cut. Off of the wastegate, there is a flexible looking pipe. We have never used a flexible pipe on anything before. The photo also shows that the exhaust tips have been cut and modified as well.

The photo above is from 2007 after we installed a turbo kit in house. This shows the exhaust pipes that we have always used, no flex pipes and the exhaust tips are closer together. This is how our exhaust system has always looked and still looks to this day when a system is built here at TPC Racing.

I would agree with Harris as I have had earlier and later TPC systems but never any flexpipe or odd looking tips like pictures shared. But it is true I've seen some modified exhausts on TPC kits, some with good ideas and perhaps some without.

Hi Harris!

Yes you are right!

After I removed the turbo kit for the 2th time ( 1st clutch, 2 th Crankshaft) I was fed up about the installation work. That was the reason to install flex-pipes with flanges.
I changed also the End-Tubes to the original muffler design because the police was always stopping me to see if it is all correct.
The flex pipe on the Wastegate pipe makes it more simple to install the muffler horizontal.

Yes I am totally satisfied with my Turbokit!!!

I love to kill Porsche 991 3,8, Mercedes SL 63AMG, BMW X6M, Mercedes E63AMG……. on the highway

Hi!

2 weeks ago I picked up my car and brought it to the guys of AA-Tuning.
I was a littel disappointed about the performance of the car but very happy about the sound of the car. It is now slightly louder as a normal Boxster S.
On the performance test, the truth showed itself in all hardness. I lost (53 DIN-HP and 36Nm / 58 SAE-HP and 27 ft-lbs)
The load pressure was reduced to 4 psi.

The reason is the back pressure of the new exhaust system.

The guys from AA-tuning have then adjusted the car to the new kats and the new exhaust system.

The result is as follows:

The performance lie above the old Exhaust system: + 4 DIN-HP/ +40Nm / +4,6 SAE-HP / + 30ft-Lbs

The total power result is now: 403 DIN-HP/ 480Nm / 460SAE-HP/355 ft/lbs) the maximum load pressure is now again 5,5 psi

Now I am happy!
