We seem to have acquired a weird sound from the right front brake. (We have PCCBs if that makes a difference.) I can best describe it as a scrabbling or scraping sound. It happens when coming to a stop, and immediately ceases I lift off the brake.

I might not be too worried about it if we weren't doing a track day on Friday. We're away from home, so don't have facilities to examine the brakes closely.

Alternately, can anyone recommend a good shop that can have a look at it, in or around the Sonoma (California) area.

Had the same sort of thing with OEM steel brakes... a rock caught between disc and caliper. Dislodged most with a stick, but a quick "reverse" removed some..
With PCCB's -- which may be more "fragile"... best to try and solve before any long driving --- and for sure before Sonoma!!
good luck .. D

This morning the sound had gone, I was thinking vegetation in the caliper or something like that.

I do get worried about rocks in the brakes, but it didn't sound like I'd expect that to sound like.
