Looking for the wire to get rpm to my shift light. I found the post where a member used one of the cables from the ecu, but that did not work for me. RPMs are all over the place. I have a 2006 Cayman S. Anybody have another location can tap into?

Silverr1, if that doesnt work out, you can also try the wireless type that plug into the cigarette lighter or power port. I think those use electrical noise or voltage to detect RPM and it worked quite well on my previous ride. didnt get to try it on the 987 though as i sold it with the car.

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately I bought a combo gauge witha built in shift light. I found some more details on using an injector signal wire to get the same result. Im going to try it tomorrow.
