Hi I just bought a set of BBS E88s from a member on rennlist and getting it shipped to a parcel service in Washington.

Can anyone recommend a specialty tire shop that can mount the wheels onto tires in Washington? From what I've heard, such low profile tires like ours on porsches require specialists to mount tires on the rims. Also, because they're such beautiful wheels I am hoping to find a place that can mount them properly without scratching them!

TIA!

My experience is that these days most mainstream tire store can handle low profile tires with out a problem since they have become much more common. If you want to deal with a special tire store I have had a great experience with Garth at tracksideracetires.com in Portland OR.

I dealt with this issue a few weeks ago when I had my rims refinished. I noticed that there were several "claw" marks on the inside of my rims from the wheels being serviced over the years. I checked with several local tire shop and was told that this is normal. Because of the low profile nature of the tires it is difficult to grab the rim from the outside and get the tire to break free from the bead. Then one shop suggested "Rent and Roll". That is a places that rents wheels. I don't recommend that you rent wheels from them. But because they are regularly repossessing rims and tires, they need to be able to not damage them when they replace tires for resale. I suggest you look into a similar business in your area.

Oh man. I reached out to Collin a while ago about a quote for a set of BBS E88s but I ended up getting them off rennlist instead. Little embarrassed to ask him for assistance but I'll reach out! Thanks for suggesting it! I'll let you know which one he suggests.

I contacted Colin and he said they could do it but I would have to go on Easter Monday (Canada) since they are only open on Weekdays.

The specs of the wheels I got are 19 x 9 et 50 in the front and 19 x 10 et 38 for the rears. What tire size should I go for? Stock? Or should I go for 245/40/19 and 275/40/19 Michelin PS4S? Would that rub? I've got X73
