Has anyone found a rationale for the Spyder wheels to be wider than the other 20" wheels for the 981 S/GTS? seeing that the tires are the same at 235F and 265R.

To make it easier to fit wider tyres?

what are there wheel widths on the GT4? (Google front 8, rear 11)
Would be interesting to know if it has room to fit the GT4 tyres! (245, 295)

I have 295s on the rear on my 20" Sport Techno Rims. They are a 10' width, most of the 20's are 9.5' inch width. You need a minimum 10' width for 295s

It's odd that Porsche would fit wide wheels to accomodate wider than OEM tire widths. I would think that if Porsche decided this car needed wider tires, it would have them from the factory.

A slightly wide wheel for the same tire would increase the handling response if it provided for a more upright sidewall...
