I had a look around the forums and having seen success stories with the connects2 kit for the bose system I decided to try it.
I have a 07 cayman with PCM2.1 + navtv ipod adapter and Bose sound system. What I have bought:
  • connects2 harness with fibre adapter CTSPO0005.2
  • steering wheel controls lead: CTMULTILEAD.2
  • headunit: Pioneer Z9200DAB
After trying to install, I got everything to work except sound. After further investigation I assumed the issue was my navtv module, if I disconnect the fibre optic from it the PCM 2.1 says that amplifier, nav and cd changer are not working and I get no sound too.
Bought a fibre loop and connected it to the fibre cable that goes into the navtv to override it. Testing with the PCM 2.1, I get a warning that no cd changer is available (the navtv emulates the cd changer) but I have sound.
Testing with the connects2 and the pioneer I still have not sound, so I am stumped.
What am I missing here?

Fiddled with the wiring harness. The fibre adapter had a blue cable going to the iso connector, took that and connected to the blue remote wire on the pioneer end, voila! I got sound.
