I noticed that recently, if I place things in the front of my Cayman, they are suffering with getting 'wet'. I've traced it to the tire 'goop' leaking into the bay. It seems to be pretty nasty stuff and has damaged the items placed in there. I've removed the carpet style liner but am now wondering what I can clean it with to remove and residual goop.
Anyone got any tips for cleaning out the liner so that it doesn't contaminate anything again?

Thanks

PT:thanks:

I've no personal experience with Porsche branded tire goop, but others are water soluble. I would expect Porsche's is too. Have you tried water?

... tire 'goop' leaking into the bay....
Sorry, I don't have any clean up suggestions, but was there anything that brought this about? I am trying to remember if the goop can is in a plastic bag. Did the can's seal fail on it's own? I would like to avoid such a mess. My condolences on the leak, BTW.
