I drive a 22CGTS. Almost always get a wave from other Cayman/Boxster and 911 owners but never from Cayenne/Macan drivers. Great SUVs ( I have my eye on a Macan) but maybe a slightly different buyer profile. If I had one I think it would be proper to wave/flash at all other Porsche drivers. I also have a Ford Focus ST. Other ST and RS drivers all wave. Also have a Honda Odyssey. We are invisible to each other!... 😎 👍 🍻 🏁A little history. My very first car was a 1964 E Type. Bought it in 1973 for $1200. Yes, I should have l kept it. Back then Jaguar owners would flash their high beams (one of the first cars that you could do that with) when seeing another Jaguar. It was fun.
Fast forward many, many years to present day. I have a good weather toy. A 2007 Cayman S. Currently in winter storage. When driving and spotting another Cayman it is common practice to give a quick wave or flash and usually get one in return.. I have recently purchased a 2008 Cayenne S to keep my P car mojo going year round. So naturally when I see another Cayenne I have been either giving a wave or a flash. But to my surprise and admittedly disappointment I get nothing in return. Is this not a 'thing' amongst Cayenne drivers?
