TPMS Inactive! Replaced Sensor But Still Have Dash Warning

Actually, Lemon's use of the word inertia is exactly the correct word to describe how the TPMS sensors are activated. A small weight within the sensor develops a contact force resulting in closure of a switch which turns them on. The contact force is the result of the turning wheel interacting with the weight, which, because of inertia, has a propensity to stay put or travel in a straight line. Same reason you wear a seatbelt. Newton made it the 1st law for a reason.
