Transmission noise?

Hey all! I’ve been trying to track down a noise that’s getting under my skin while driving lately. It sounds like a faint rattle coming from the engine bay that follows engine speed. When I press in the clutch, or idle in neutral it goes away. Brand new clutch, flywheel, pressure plate, and throw out bearing about 1000 miles ago. I also had them remove the dust cover on ims. To be honest I think I’ve started hearing it after they were installed. Almost sounds like a muffled card in bike spokes/rattle from far away. It doesn’t do it at idle so it’s hard to try to pinpoint it myself.
any ideas?
Thanks!

Did you replace the dual mass flywheel with a single plate one to reduce weight? This makes the transmission rattle as the dual mass flywheel acts as a balance absorber. Just a thought.

I get (way less these days) an occasional ticking from the tranny (5 speed) that would go away when the clutch was depressed. Upon release of the pedal it would be gone! Had the car looked at and all was normal. I had a friend that had the same issue, he demanded the dealer replace the clutch. Upon getting the car back, it made the same sound. In my case it did it right from new. My 987 is an 07 and runs without issue. I stopped worrying about these phantom noises these cars can make.
