I've recently noticed that my passenger vanity mirror light does not go off when the lid (mirror) is closed. If the car doors are closed but the car is not locked the light stays on. Also when the car is being driven the light is always on as well. It seems the lid mechanism that controls when the light goes off is not operating. When I lock the car the light does go off. Found out the hard way to always lock my car in the garage as the battery wore down rather quickly. If under warranty is this covered? Can I remove a fuse to disable this without effecting something else? Or should I remove the bulbs?

If still under warranty it is covered. You can also unclip the sun
Visor from the inner bracket. That stops the current from going to the light.
