Some of you may recall I am waiting on my GT4 to come back from the shop from an accident at VIR. I posted this in the GT4 forum in a thread about HPDE at VIR.

Some local information says the Ferrari had brake failure (pedal all the way to the floor) in turn 14, which is the first serious turn following ~0.8 mile straight. We are always warned about dry grass being a fire hazard at VIR in the summer. Not sure if that played a part or not. Driver and passenger are okay.
