A popular VW enthusiast site has a similar thread. Post up what you did to your 987. Types of things to post could be cleaning, maintaining, modifying, piloting it around a track, etc. Post pics if you can. This thread can inspire others to do something similar. I'll start...

I did my first oil change since I've owned the car. Right around 4k miles since it was changed by the dealership prior to my purchase. I used Driven DT40 5w40. I decided to hold off on installing the LN engineering deep sump oil pan for now. I won't be tracking the car until next year. I did use the magnetic oil drain plug that I got with the kit. It seemed that 8 quarts even put me at the target of 3 out of 5 bars on the oil gauge. At first it was showing 3 out if 5 bars at 7.5 quarts. After a short drive, it was showing 2 out of 5 bars prior to the next start up.

Last weekend I changed the gear oil. I used Motul 300 75/90. It was very dirty looking. The shift feel was much improved. It feels a lot more light and crisp. The full volume was a little bit less than I had expected. I had read 3.2 quarts. I got just under 3 quarts before it started spilling out, with the car level. The car does have a Quaife LSD installed, I assume that it may be taking up some real estate and lowering the fill volume a bit.

Some janitorial maintenance to ensure air flow to the radiators and condensers. Probably posted many times, but in view of warmer weather , may be a reminder to other 987 owners to have a look and clean out the debris for summertime driving .A bit time consuming but worth it . In my case I also found a bent radiator bracket, courtesy of the PO Tire Wheel Automotive tire Tread Vehicle

That does make a case for grille mesh.. Mine wasn't quite that bad.

Polished out Y- support, exhaust, cat and dog bones… I know… you’re thinking, why!? I’ve learned, when things are buried and or dirty etc it’s not really noticed, until it sparkles. 🤷‍♂️I don’t know

Changed the rear 'Tuning fork' control arms and rear top mounts chancing a clunk.
I had a little water in one of my clear side marker lights so I thought it was time to change them back to the way Porsche intended them to be. I can almost hear James May shouting "STANDARD!" I love the stock look.

Certainly does. A bit of patience and some grill mesh from Home Depot can easily do the trick as it did in my case. It will at least slow down the process of gathering assorted rubbish.
