I would love to convert my Cayman to wheel studs instead of the clunky bolts. But why to all the kits I see use open wheel bolts? Not only is it ugly, does this not invite the stud to rust? I cant find a suitable closed acorn bolt to fit the stock wheel with an R14 ball seat.

Has anyone converted to studs with closed lug nuts somehow?

I did so last year. Had to make sure that the "Fuchs" style closed lug nuts that I used were deep enough to bottom out on the wheel.
