AAA will do it for free. Call and they'll send a window specialist to your home for repair... the chip/crack must be less than a dime to qualify. I had mine repaired just a few months ago. It is not a perfect solution, the outside is smooth but you can still see the chip from the inside... at least you are secured it won't crack any further.

I've always had good luck with Safelite. You might check with your car insurance company, since many will cover the cost of simple repair of the windshield (i.e. filling a crack).

+1 I had several chips repaired, and it was free.

A few years back I had my BMWwindshield repaired at Dee's is GardenGrove. They did a great job and fixed an additional small chip for free! A women did the repair, the chip was very deep and about the size of a bb.

+ 1, but I believe Dee's is now New View auto glass (or similar) in Midway City (near Garden Grove). Godd chip repair and a nice jow on a windshield replacement.

Cheers,
