Hi Forum,

Just want to know how many of you are in the same boat as I am. Ordered a 2008 CS with a July production and August delivery. Does any one have a confirmed production date? Or, a ship date? Any news at all???

This waiting game is driving me up the wall. Just want to find a few of you and see how you guys are holding up.

My 2008 CS was built the first week of July. It is waiting to be put on a boat. That is all I know. I was told previously by one person that it was going to be built the first week of July and I might get it by the end of July. Then I was told by someone else that it will come in sometime in August. I was told repeatedly, prior to these communications, that it normally takes about a month from when it is built to the time that you get it. Time will tell.

I originally ordered my Cayman (White/Cocoa/Tiptronic) in January, but the order wasn't accepted by PCNA until mid-April; for July build. Dealer said would be 1st week, and confirmed car was built July 6th. Have no idea what transit time to Baltimore will be, but expect mid-August (based on history of last year or so) delivery..

I put a deposit on my 2006 Cayman S in 2004 when the plans to launch the car were in the press and so I waited two years. I also have my name down for a 2009 Cayman S having returned the 2006 car after eight months use due to it needsing a complete rewire. They say patience is a virtue but worth skipping the 07 and 08 models years in my opinion. But then I must be unduly patient. I hope to get my right hand drive 09 in late 2008 which will be in approximatley 16 months time. Makes me smile when I hear people saying waiting a few weeks is an issue.

Where do you get the ship information? I ordered my basic Cayman on June 16th and found out today that I have an August 29 build date. What sources to you use to find out when it goes on the boat and is due for Baltimore?

I am anxiously waiting to pull the trigger on a 2007 Cayman S, but can't stand the thought that after all my research on the car they put DFI (possibly) or facelift (unlikely) on the MY08. I can barely wait a few days/weeks (even hours) to take one home so waiting until MY09 is out of the question. The second I hear that a delivered MY08 is the same as 07 I will go pick one up. I anxiously await the deliveries.......
