Took delivery of my CS yesterday! Actually had not driven a CS yet, based my decision to buy one on driving the base Cayman.

Unfortunately its at the dealership for a DRL enable and then needs to go for an inspection, so I can't drive it again for a few days.

Looks outstanding inside and out. Handling and comfort and looks do not disappoint.

One thing I find myself wondering is if I actually liked the base Cayman's 2.7 L better. Around town, we have a lot of traffic and not much opportunity to get up to the kind of speeds that the CS seems to crave. The 2.7L on the other hand, I could really thrash around town if I wanted to, and I could make fuller use of all 5 gears in daily driving. I really drive aggressively and in the CS if I do so I am soon exceeding legal limits ;) The 2.7L also seemed to like to be rev'd up to the high RPM's, while the CS is more consistent across the rpm range.

i thought you've had one the whole time since i saw you post just about everyday.

Congrats on the new ride though. I drive my CS daily through traffic and all and dont have any complaints about it at all. Although you would like to use all 6 gears when you first get it, you won't really use them further down the line. I used to drive in 6th gear going 50 mph driving on side roads but now i only see 6th gear on the highways

Haha - I just really like the forum so I post a lot.

I started shopping for my CS at the start of summer. I ordered/paid back in mid August but had to wait for delivery. It just got here last night and I got to drive it around for an hour or two.

I'm the 2nd owner, it has 4,000 miles on it, but mint condition inside and out. Really love the car, very sad that I didn't get it until winter.

Now is not the time for buyer's remorse or second guessing, my friend. Deep inside you know you made the ritght choice. There's an old saying about flying, "It's much better to be on the ground, wishing you were in flying rather than to be flying and wishing you were on the ground."

In the end, it's better to have the CS, rather than taking a $10K+ bath later trading a 2.7 for a CS. I'm sure you'll find some place to use the extra gear and hp.

Welcome to the road. I'm glad to see another long time poster realize their dream.

:D:D:D

Hey is that a BIG MARK OR DENT at the bottom right??? ha ha just joking.
As far as your logic goes for either the non-S or S goes, forget that. It boils down to this, IMO;
Non-S: I save some money and Im happy with it.
S: bugger that, I gonna party like it 1999.:burnout::burnout::burnout:

Thanks for the warm welcome again :)

I thought more about the engine difference and I agree that I would have never been satisfied with the 2.7, it is fun but I would always be wondering what I had missed.

Very happy with the car going to drive it again at lunch today !!!

Could be Suneets car. He was in the Gainsville area I think. Send him a PM.

Congratulations Kor. That's great. A little impulsive on your part, buying a car with only 370 posts under your belt and all. :D (I had like 1,700 when I first drove my car....).

I look forward to reading more of you posts as you discover the car. Your style is unique. Enjoy....!

Hi this is my first post on these boards. I am looking to buy a Cayman S soon so I am starting the research process. I just wanted to say that is one of the best dark interiors I have ever seen! I love the aluminum look contrast. Very nice.
