This morning I had a couple strange things happen with my 981. First, upon unlocking/opening the door and getting in (key not in ignition), I noticed the red light on the door lock/unlock button was flashing rapidly. Next, the trunk unlatched – thinking I accidentally pressed the button on the key fob, I got out and closed it. Getting back into the cabin, with the red light still flashing, the trunk popped open a second time.
At this point, I decided to put the key in the ignition and turn it on. The red light stopped flashing (went out) and, after getting out to close the trunk again, it stayed and business went on as-usual. So, has anyone encountered these situations before? What does that flashing red light mean? Maybe the trunk wasn't completely latched and it pops open as a fail-safe? Electrical/battery problems? Other?
