Speaker Static with the Radio Off???

Yesterday I was treating the leather in my CS. I was sitting on a stool next to the driver's door and I heard a high frequency hiss. I determined the noise to be coming from the mid-range speaker on the door. The radio was off and the key was not in the ignition. I checked the passenger’s side but did not hear anything. I then checked Her987CS's CS and heard exactly the same thing on the driver's side and again nothing on the passenger’s side.

Has anyone else noticed this, and does anyone know what could be causing it?

Sorry for the thread revival once again. I'm having this same issue, but yet a little different. The speaker "feedback" that I'm getting is quite loud, not a slight hiss or buzz.

Car has been on trickle charger (Porsche CTEK) since Nov 1. On first door open a base rumble, quite loud, was coming through drivers side speakers (radio off, key out of ignition). Almost sounds as if base and volume is turned up on max. Car started without issue, yet what sounds like "audio feedback" is constant. Feedback is present with key in or out, radio on or off. Radio does turn on and all functions seem to be working. When radio on, you can slightly hear broadcast on station but is overpowered by a loud low base rumble. When radio off and key out of ignition, feedback continues for about 3-5 minutes then shuts down. Upon opening the door, feedback starts within a few seconds without putting key into ignition or powering up radio.

Am suspecting that my amp gone bad? Any suggestion or guidance would be appreciated.

Same issue. Did you ever figure it out?
