Too spectacular... Magical. Telepathic. Intuitive. Superb, muscular stance. Supremely comfortable seats. Perfectly balanced. Completely flat cornering. A head turner. Love the PDK w/paddle shifters, burble of the engine, the exhaust note. The engine growls and sings at throttle; keeping it beneath 4K RPM is a repeated exercise in control. Car sits very low, but is so easy to get in and out of. And it's not at all bad over bumps - great as a DD! The mid-engine layout really causes the car to shine in every corner, and everywhere; impossible to capture with words, just gotta experience it. At last, a true sports car and constant reminder that power is nothing without control.

Special thanks goes to Jamie Reed at Porsche of Tyson's Corner who was a joy to work with. Professional, courteous, approachable, possessing encyclopedic knowledge, and just a genuinely great guy. Jamie exemplifies an excellence in his work ethic that is quite frankly hard to find just about anywhere. It's crystal clear he takes the buyer experience seriously. I would instantly recommend him to anyone seeking to buy a new Porsche.

And why would that be? Oh that's right....automatic transmissions are for women and Formula 1 drivers only.

The PDK is indeed awesome - just got in from another Chuckanut drive loop and reached 800 miles on the clock.

Congratulations on the car and don't hesitate to tease the engine to 6,000 rpm for a burst of enthusiasm every now and again. You'll love the way you sink into the seat

My guess is that he didn't choose. The dealer already spec'd it out with those seats. It aggravates me to no end that the majority of these special cars don't have the bucket seats because the dealers 'think' buyers don't want those seats. A travesty. I loved the look of my spyder so much at the time, I was blinded and figured it would no big deal to swap out the seats. It was no big deal, but it costed me $$$$.

Beautiful car otherwise, OP. I think aqua blue is one of the best colors out there.

**Edit: NM, OP ordered car to this spec because he wanted to be able to fit a child seat in the car. I will admit one disadvantage of having my new buckets is that I can't drive around with my kid in the car anymore since none of the boosters will rest in the seat properly.

Welcome. I too have an Aqua Blue Caymna R but mine has PDK and silver wheels. I've had mine since mid April 2011 and now have 14K wonderful miles. Wonderful car.

May I make two suggestions.

My only suggestion is consider the clear side markers for about $30 and easy to swap out.

Second, may I suggest you take a mini-vacation in the Shenandoah. For example. VA 675 from Luray arcoss Massanutten Mountain to Edinburg is one sweet ride. VA 56 across the BLue Ridge 30 miles below I-64 is another of my favorites.

Drive Safe and Enjoy. Ed

Thanks! We are fellow Aqua Blue w/ PDK CR owners. Great suggestions, love Shenandoah and will have to get over there this spring. Once while returning from a trip to OK, our Boeing 737 flew very low and descended right over Shenandoah mountains... from this bird's eye view I could see Skyline Drive and cars driving: so beautiful from that angle and indeed a perfect place to drive one of the most exhilarating driving machines available. Will check out the other routes you mention. Thanks again.

Best color for the Cayman R in my opinion. Makes me want to sell a few of my cars to get an Aqua Blue CR. Make mine a 6spd manual

I second the great color choice. I looked at a variety of Boxsters and when I saw the Colbalt Blue I knew that was the color I had to have. An added bonus was that it seems to be a color that is easy to keep clean and you won't see many others. I've had mine next to the Aqua Blue and they are very similiar.

I've got a Spyder with different options, but you are right- you can't explain to people what a total f@cking adrenaline rush and experience it is to drive on curvy roads. I LOVE my car, some people may not understand that. It is pure driving nirvana!
