Well supercharging is definitely an easier and more straight forward process when done in moderation. It really is a bolt on power adder. If you don't go crazy with the boost you wont even need to change the compression. Turboing a car is always going to be more in depth than supercharging one but it also can yeild better power gains, although at the cost of doing more work.

either way on a stock block you will be limited as to how much power the car can handle. The supercharger produces a smooth power delivery where as the turbo kits come in much more rapidly. Either way you will be pushing ponly about 5-6psi with a stock block. I am personaly using a TPC turbo kit with a lot of changes ;)

bty, the intake, exhaust and chip that you currently have will all go bye bye with the turbo kit. And if you go with the supercharger just say bye to the intake and chip since you can use any exhaust that you choose.

I briefly looked at supercharger vs turbo and came down on the turbo side. My car is dual use and my fuel mileage actually went up with the turbo which I can only attribute to the fact that the turbo is still extracting useful work from the exhaust gasses even at highway speeds which is work the engine does not have to do move the intake air. With a supercharger, the engine is always providing the work to turn the compressor and the gain is the power gain produced by the increased mass air flow minus the power required to drive the supercharger.

Because of these differences, I concluded that the supercharger would result in an engine that ran hotter than one with a turbo for the same power setting. I chose the TPC turbo and have never had a regret. Above 3000 rpm, there is no detectable lag and above 4000, the torque curve is sufficiently flat to provide essentially constant throttle response from 4000 to about 7200 rpm.

That was my decision process. Either way you go, the additional power will make you smile.
