I wish I were able to see pictures of a Cayman with the 18" Boxster wheels (5 spoke style). It's an additional $390 and is the wheel that comes standard on the base Boxster. I've only seen it once on a video with a Black Cayman.

Thank you. Here is a handful more.
I saw Rhodium when I collected my car.
GT is a greyish silver, but definitely silver rather than grey.
Rhodium looked, to me, bluish.
GT is very metallic and reflective - under a blue sky it, too, can look bluish but it's not really its intrinsic shade.

While I was waiting for my car, I (perhaps pointlessly) looked at lots of silver cars. I wondered about Rhodium, because I generally prefer really bright silvers. During my amateur research, I came to the conclusion that Mercedes Benz has the best silvers (although it also has some not so good ones). The ones I found most impressive were generally on E-class and above, but also on the occasional C-class. They stood out not because of the actual shade but because of the sheer depth of shine and noticeable quality of the paint giving a very 'classy, sophisticated' appearance.

I hoped GT silver would have that same depth, reflectiveness and quality. I am glad (and relieved!) to say that it does. In fact, I think the depth of shine and reflections is generally better on the darker silver hues anyway.

Also, much forum research pulled up the result that GT was pretty much universally regarded as 'special' and nicer than other contemporary silvers, although many people felt the difference not to be worth the extra money, and perhaps not really noticeable unless parked side by side.

In the end, silver is silver. Most people would never even notice the difference. You will be happy with any. But if you can justify the extra outlay and want the warm glow of knowing you got what you wanted with your heart, then you won't regret getting GT. To many people, of course, silver is boring. To afficianados however, it is the purest representation of the car's form and has many subtle nuances to appreciate for those who care to look, rather than just see.

Hope this helps, as they say.
