Has anyone installed, or considered, something like the below Android head unit? I have one of these Chinese type things installed in my Audi, and it works relatively well. Looking for opinions.https://www.seicane.com/oem-android...-touch-screen-radio-wifi-tv-backup-camera-steering-wheel-control-usb-sd-s018815
I did install a Seicane unit in my 987.1 Cayman S. See my review here: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DLRNT5Z/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 In addition to that review, there is a couple more downsides of the Seicane Android headunit: - It doesn't have Android Auto. There is a phone mirroring function but it's very, very limited. - The screen resolution is much lower than a typical tablet resolution.

Over in the Mercedes world, the biggest complaint with these Seicane units is the FM reception, which is weak to non-existent. Along with not having Android Auto, I don't like the lack of HD radio.

Since you don't have a Bose system, the options are pretty much wide open for any aftermarket double-din unit. I'd get something more mainstream and configure it to exactly what you need and want.

I'm mostly looking for Apple Carplay, but thought having the ability to run an app like Tourque to get information display from the OBD2 port would be neat to have. I know adding a mainstream Alpine/Kenwood/any mainstream brand would easily give me Carplay, just haven found anything for sure that could get OBD2 information displayed.
