Daily driver? What shoes do you wear ?

I drove my CS to work at our training facility in northern Westchester last week instead of commuting in via train to the city as I normally do. This was my first drive in "work clothes" and I wore my work shoes, which are only size 10.5 but felt big and clunky on the pedals.

Normally I'm in my driving sneakers, so I wondered, what do those of you who drive daily wear on your feet? Do you carry driving shoes in the car and change? Or do you manage in your typical work footwear attire?

Hi basch. You missed a good run last weekend. Hope to meet up with you next time. I think the work shoes were uncommon to you because you haven't done it before. I'm a DD and I too have a 10 1/2 wide foot. I wear my work shoes all the time while driving, sneakers, but on the weekends bare feet is the best. Last week I even drove home from the golf course with my golf shoes still on.

You'll get used to it....

it's kinda funny that this topic just came up . two days ago , i bought a pair of Nike Free 7.0 sneakers to use at the gym .i wore them yesterday while i was driving and was totally impressed . they are almost as comfy as slippers and feel great negotiating the pedals in the car.

Personally I was hugely disappointed with the Piloti Monacos I ordered. They didn't fit super good but aside from that the materials quality was below what I expected from a specialty shoe. Overall construction was just not up to par. I could see glue on one seam and the stitching was poor. Overall it looked like a knock-off shoe. Sure it has some nice features but in my opinion its not a high end product. I would recommend getting a brand-name shoe over a Piloti.

I just bought the Prototipo Piloti's. They suit me since they have an exteded area on the side for heel toe action and also the heel area is wide and padded for excessive duration driving. They are very comfortable and light...so are my sneekers. Bottom line is that its personal preference!

Kaywman,

Please note that you have less than 2 days to complete your registration for Croctoberfest or else your hotel room is going to be cancelled. I've tried email, PM and phone and have been unable to reach you. This is your most recent post so I'm hoping you will come back to this topic thread and see this message.

For those of you who are stuck with dress shoes during the week as I am, check out the Alan Edmonds Driver sole stuff. They look great but have a very good sole with a driver lug pattern. About 225.00. I wear them everyday and have done so since they came out about a year or so ago. Very comfortable. I have 3 pairs with another pair on order.Johnson Murphy is also coming out with some more casual/driver stuff but some of it is real trash. The price indicates the quality.

For the Piloti fans out there they are back. I believe that they went out of business a few years ago, came back about a year ago with some promises and a website, got some Canadian Tire money, and are now making new shoes. I ordered a pair (which seem to be made to order) a few months ago with the expected shipment this month.
