Despite trying to resolve via several Porsche service centers (both independent and Porsche), none of them can figure out why my rear spoiler doesn't automatically deploy when it should. I've had my girlfriend follow me up to over 80mph and it doesn't deploy.
However I can manually deploy and retract using the button under the AC controls in the cabin. So the motor works just fine, but the PWIS system can't find any errors?
Could it be a defective speed sensor? And if so, is this a part that can be replaced?
I'm flummoxed...... even more so that Porsche have no clue!
If I can't get an easy fix, perhaps an aftermarket spoiler that provides enough down force in the non deployed mode may be an option? Any suggestions for something stylish that isn't overly raised and will not look ricey? I like the sleek lines of my car and don't want some ugly monstrosity like the kind you see on Honda's
