On Saturday I purchased a 718 Boxter. I'm a software engineer at Apple so CarPlay is an important feature for me. My salesperson told me that my car supported CarPlay and I believed him. When I got the car home and started going through all the features I discovered that it does *not*, in fact, support CarPlay. I sent a text to my salesperson and he responded, "I could have sworn that car had CarPlay support."
I'm not sure what my options are at this point. I feel like this is a lot of money to spend to not get exactly what I wanted.
My salesperson is "looking into" the issue but I'm not getting the sense that he is going to be able to help me.
What are your thoughts? Is it my fault for not verifying each feature before taking delivery? What would you do in my position?
