BTW I am a big fan of the sea blue interior it is very sharp. I would think about adding the following options:

1) Center console in artic silver (or have bumperplugs do it)
2) silver seat belts (or get them from suncoast later and install)
3) Heated seats if you it gets cold where you are (please fill in state and country into your profile)
4) painted center caps (or get them from Ralph Boothe - boothedesign.com)

But none of those are an absolute must, just trying to add a few things to spice it up...

I agree that it all looks outstanding with the exception of the transmission choice, but to each his own.

You must post pictures!!! I have never seen the color scheme that you are talking about and I am dying to see the blue interior with the artic silver exterior. I think that is going to be a sharp combination.

Hi,
I got a deal for the 08 production. But, I decide to hold off on it. I think there might be some small changes. Base on what the dealer told me. Before the plant shuts down for a month of vacation. They will produce about 300 units of CS for 08 production year. If you have to order the car. If your dealer can not change one of their allocation. You most likely is going to get an 08.

You car options are everything that I want it. Except I will not get the PASM. I don't know if I really need it. I will not bring it to track and not a crazy driver. By the way, what kind of deal did you get?

Thanks,
pecon

Great spec. As for Pecon's comment on PASM, you do not need to bring it to the track or be a crazy driver to benefit from it. It makes my daily commute nicer (this only my opinion, which is generally shared by those who have PASM and generally dismissed by those who don't!-see other threads on PASM for more discussion:gossip: than you could ever want).

Seems like a pretty nice spec! Now my .02.....

The sport designs are nice looking.....but a horror to clean properly......you might want to think about the carrera classics, carrera S, etc.

Does Porsche have a sport steering wheel for a Tiptronic?.....if so, get it.

As K-Man S said, get the silver belts and maybe some interior pieces painted exterior color......it would look so cool in a Sea Blue interior.

How about full leather?......really upscales the interior.....

My choice of wheels is either Carerra S or Carrera Sport - not the Sport Design ones. I do believe that of the three the Carrera Sport wheels are easiest to clean and complement the inlet grills.

Enjoy your car.

Looks good to me, but for only $360 above the cost of the Adaptive Sports Seat, you can get full leather. Also, I'd add heated seats.

The artistic suggestions by our site exec are well advised. However, if you are getting PASM for comfort [which is why I will get PASM], then consider the 18" higher profile wheels for more comfort.

Getting a Tip is a real waffle for me. Because of lower back compromises I enjoy the relief of not having that extra pressure of working a clutch on my lower back but I certainly want the control and ability to release the power of the CS with a manual.

There are few to no CS's on the Registry with your combo exterior/interior. I am more conservative and can't get my eyes off another combo--which I'll keep to myself as there are already about three on the Registry like what I want. Looking at the Registry is how to found what really appeals to me. But, I'm considering spending the bucks on an Aero kit in order to make mine more exclusive.

Do it yourself

forget the delete model designation, do it yourself and keep the logo for a souvenir
if you plan to drive at nite or in the rain, I've found self-dimming mirrors/rain sensor to work exceptionally well
great combo, good luck making that final, final, no not yet final decision
waiting, good things come to... but driving is where it's at!

Good specs, but I would add heated seats and the sport steering wheel.

As for the climate control option, I find that I turn mine off most of the time. If I had to do again, I would not have spent the money on it.

You do know that 19" tires will be expensive to replace.

The Tiptronics is a great choice.

Good luck to you, and have fun shopping.

Have you actually seen an AS with blue seats? Anybody?
I have seen one at a dealer. It's a very nice combo.

I wouldn't bother with 19" wheels. Formula One wheels are only 13" diameter so why do you need 19" wheels?

I would get non-sport steering wheel in smooth leather, #459 (or #431 if you want muli-function.)

If most of your driving is in California gridlock, why do you need PASM and sport crono?

Silver with Sea Blue...

...is absolutely stunning! I've seen it in person, and it looks amazing. Pretty sophisticated combo, and if you paint the center console to match, it really pops! If an extra $1000 or so isn't going to kill you, getting the dashboard trim strip painted in silver is also really striking. It wouldn't stand out too much from the standard silver plastic, but would match the center console nicely. I don't think it's too easy to paint that aftermarket, either, unlike bumperplugs.com for the console...

I really like the Sea Blue interior; dark enough to hide dirt, but different than black.

Thanks for the replies and comments everyone. Really appreciate it.

I think I'll take up K-Man S' (and others) suggestions to do some silver accents inside, but probably not do a silver seatbelt.

Full leather, hmmm ... definitely a consideration now that I think about it.

On the Tiptronic, I just can't live with a stick anymore (I'm coming from a 2002 BMW M3 6spd) and driving in California gridlock has become too much of a pain, esp. if I want to work my blackberry and drive at the same time. :D

Thanks again everyone.

Silver and Sea Blue sounds terrific! As others have said, I would strongly consider full leather and some interior painted bits. For these, I would suggest the Rear Center Console and the Door Finishers. If you do go with full leather, also consider the Leather Steering Column. Adds a really nice touch and otherwise the column will be black amongst a sea of blue (pun intended).

As for wheels, the Sport Designs are really sharp but I am partial to the Carrera Sport wheels. Would look great with a Silver car too.

Congrats!

Sport exhaust tips - the stock ones tarnish (and look like the ones on a Crossfire - yech.)

Sport exhaust - new option, should be available soon. Purely a sensual option, but one of my favs on the 997 S.
