Hi All,

I have always loved the classic combo of Alcantara & Carbon Fiber in my interiors. Since I have just about converted everything I could to Alcantara, next up was some carbon. I picked up this 7 piece interior trim set from Carbonlution on ebay and I couldn't be happier. I have seen the OEM carbon trim pieces in person and I have to say these are every bit as top notch.

Payment to delivery took about a month, as advertised, as each set is hand made. Sam @ Carbonlution could not have been more helpful or responsive. Great guy to deal with. Fitment is perfect since this kit is made from real OEM Porsche parts, not from an aftermarket mold. Nor are they overlays which press on over your existing trim but rather full replacement pieces just as you would get from Porsche. Best of all there is no core charge so you keep your existing trim and can remove and sell-off the carbon trim should you ever want to.

Anyway, on to the pics..

The install is a pretty easy DIY. Took about 30 minutes. Other than the cupholder trim, all of the pieces pop off with just a simple plastic pry tool. The piece around the ignition/light switch requires you to remove the built in light and reinstall on the new piece but it just slides off.
The cupholder trim is the only piece that takes more than a few seconds honestly. You have to give it a good yank to get it out ( the whole assembly comes out) and then you have to carefully remove the plastic silver trim from the assembly itself. The top of the silver trim has a little edge to it and then there are small clips on the bottom edge which snap it in place Porsche also put some double sided tape on there. When I reinstalled the carbon trim on the cupholder assembly I just snapped it on without using new tape. It seems to hold perfectly fine without the tape tbh.

Yes, and I didn't know it was available in such a wide range of colours! I poked aound the Gulf Fabrics site a bit but I couldn't find a price for the 9002, do you recall that? I am up in Canada and I was considering a project or two that would look great in Alcantara.

Cheers!

Nice...but to be clear you only wrapped the left/right center console yourself... the rest of the Alcantara bits you purchased and replaced after the fact with OEM parts pre wrapped?
