I guess not in the windows.

Today I coded 5 repeats on the blinker.

I tried coded the PTV but it’s not on the Systems nor when I searched. Perhaps it wasn’t an option in 2014?

I have the standard mirrors and was hoping to program the mirror dip. I couldn’t find it manually but when I searched “mirror dip” a number (5?) of lines came up but they were all “ Open”. I wasn’t sure whether you could even program them with standard mirrors. Does anyone know?

Thanks!!

My post #50 shows the extent of mirror dip if you don't have comfort entry/folding mirrors. It's pretty much useless and I went back to normal on mine.

I've never tried to add brake based PTV to mine so can't help with that part.

Thanks for saving me the trouble! And thanks for all your good comments!

@LarryB :
This is my procedure in Thinkdiag to activate PTV:

CaymanEd - I saw that but when I went to Systems Selection there were only two options (I can’t remember off the top
of my head) and PSM was not one of them.

It’s not critical for me.

Thanks though.

Seems similar to the GT3 RS steering profile that exists as an option for some but not others. I suppose you adopt the stance of great when it is available but nothing lost when it is not. 🤷‍♂️

At least with 718s, I don't think the PTV-only coding works at all. So doubt it works with 981s either. But it's hard to know. Most of the work is done by the LSD IMO. Another coding function that didn't work on my 718 6MT was power steering plus (PS+). I didn't want it on my car (it's perfect the way it is), since I didn't like it on my 981 CGTS, but tried it out of curiosity. And ZERO difference. You can find it (as servotronic) on both PSM and 'front end electronics', but on the latter, it throws a code, so you can only change it on the former. And my guess is you probably need both. But to avoid a code on the latter, you need to pay for the option, and need PIWIS to input the code. Also found several other coding options that didn't work on my car, like the 4-point LED DRLs lighting up with the headlights. It works with non-LED headlights, but not with LEDs. I also had to reverse the MFD option to turn DRLs off, because it throws a code.

I got a new battery and tried to register the battery. It was looking for a 17 digit battery serial number and didn’t like DNA0003505118. Any thoughts?

Well, you said 17 digits, and stated 13. But both are wrong:p. The label (or s/n) is 15 characters. And the p/n is 11. Hope that helps.

My Thinkdiag helped me diagnose & clear a random misfire (#5) today. Loving this tool being also useful in diagnosis & maintenance

Coding does not work with iOS system. Get an Android smart phone or tablet.

I just bought an Samsung android tablet and the App Store says that it won’t work with my tablet. Is there something I should be doing?
Download it directly from their site and install it, known as "side loading" an app.
I have a no name tablet that had the same issue, app works just fine despite the Play Store saying the app didn't come from them.
