My Cayman has a wavy part in the glass near the far right passenger side. Everytime I look to the right during a turn it annoys me. Anyone else? Should I request a replacement?

My windscreen seems to be ok.

Did anyone notice the round sucker marks on their rear window?

When I washed the car the first few times, I noticed two big round sucker marks on the rear window! though the rear window is fine - no problems with it at all, they are obviously imprints from the suction pads that were used when the window was fitted...]

Just curious to see if it was just my car that had them.

Sometimes there are irregularities of thickness and other abnormalities in glass that can affect the quality of light transmission. This is more likely to occur at the edges/borders. If it bothers you a lot, the windshield can be replaced, but there is always a possibility (less so now with modern frameless installations) of leaks and whistles if they don't get it just right. Don't let perfection become the enemy of good.

I have it a little on mine......and have seen it on a lot of cars. It's caused by the manufacturing process (sandwiching of materials) of auto glass in general. You can have it replaced, but the next one could be better or worse. If it doesn't affect your vision to a great degree......I would just leave it alone. I would hate having a decent windshield ripped out of the car if it wasn't a big deal.

This tiopic is perfectly timed. I just noticed this morning as we were on the way to breakfast (after double shift) that the passenger side near the curve was distorted. Said something to better half about it. I don't notice it everytime I look that direction only once in a while when everything aligns right. I am not going to do anything about it as it does not stand out while driving for most of the time. And I have had windshields done in the past where they had to do them couple times to get rid of the leaks/noise. I think I'm better off this way.........

The only time I ever noticed any ripples is if I move my head left <--> right and am not keeping my eyes fixed at a specific point. Otherwise, I never noticed a ripple unless someone pointed it out to me.
